Mailchimp, Atlanta, GA — Employee Experience Program Manager*

JANUARY 2019 - PRESENT

  • Identifies potential partnerships within the customer base, such as talent for speaking engagements, workshops, and ERG events, as well as small businesses for internal swag projects.

  • Transitioned all of Mailchimp’s in-person employee engagement events to virtual during the pandemic. Developed programming that scaled well virtually, such as weekly meditation, cooking demonstrations, and Night School.

    • In 2020, aside from the weekly meditation series, I hosted more than 25 unique events.

  • Manages Mailchimp's internal online swag store, including evaluating user experience and updating inventory. Maintains relationships with external partners to optimize site performance and facilitate shipping to 1200+ employees.

  • Produces Mailchimp's internal podcast, researching topics, recording interviews, and mixing and editing each episode.

  • Aligned all 8 Business Employee Resource Groups in their goals, programming, and outreach. Fostered a community of collaboration and intersectionality, to provide more cohesive and complementary initiatives.

  • Writes company-wide communications for Slack and email, announcing programming and reminders for upcoming events.

  • Built and curates an internal directory showcasing the small businesses and creative pursuits of Mailchimp employees.

    • Prior to COVID, produced an in-person counterpart,, hosting seasonal markets.

  • Partnered with Libro.fm to provide an accessible alternative to our physical book program, while supporting independent bookstores across the country.

  • Assists with the planning and coordination of Mailchimp’s presence in the Atlanta Pride Parade. This includes creating and distributing swag for more than 250 employees to hand out.

  • Serves as a cultural touchpoint for new and existing employees, with strong relationships across the organization and a deep knowledge of company history and culture.

* I served as the Employee Events Coordinator from January 2019 until June 2020, when I was promoted to Employee Events Producer. I was set to be promoted to Employee Events Program Manager in September 2021. I have been acting in this role, but due to the acquisition by Intuit, official promotions were paused.
